Currently available on various digital music services, including iTunes, Pandora, and Amazon Music, this album is a collection of songs that Eric Pleska and Ed Massena recorded as teenagers in the late 1990s.
Eric Pleska wrote lyrics and pitched musical ideas to Edward Massena to create this collection of ten poppy punk tunes in the late 1990s. Ed Massena, who proficiently taught himself how to operate recording equipment, also served as the recording engineer for the project in his makeshift home studio.
The track "Winnie Cooper" was initially done by Eric and Ed's high school band 43 Bob. The songs were composed of the genuine perspectives of two Holden Caufeld-esque suburban NYC teens dealing with the various hypocrisies of adult society and the buffoonery of stereotypical high school jocks and cool kids.
Pleska shared the opening track "Everybody Wants Something" with Canadian actor Pat Mastroianni as it's an homage to his Degrassi Jr. High School television show character Joey Jeremiah's band The Zit Remedy. Mastroianni enjoyed the tune so much that he shared it with the cast of Degrassi The Next Generation, who praised the song, including Aubrey Graham, now known professionally as multi-platinum megastar Drake.
